I just tried the code below using HIDE, and it works to hide Outlook. I had a similar situation, only I needed Outlook to be minimized, not hidden. TLDR - Is there a command / script / function in Powershell that would allow me to open an application but have it hidden and not showing in the taskbar when minimized?

So here is my question (finally).is there a way via Powershell to have the minimized Outlook session that opens from RDS to be hidden once its open? There are two Outlooks open on the desktops. We dont want the users actually using it as it cant access their personal folders and files when they want to attach something for example. The Outlook that opens from the RDS profile is only needed for the application its tied to run properly. This was not my design, just how it works. Due to the Outlook from the RDS box appearing minimized on users local desktops, when users open their locally installed version of Outlook to use it, they eventually get confused over which they should be using. The users also get a profile created on the RDS Box when the app is first launched and an Outlook profile is also created and opens from the RDS profile and appears minimized on their local desktops. Users access the application from their local desktops via the VMWare client, so only the application itself and Outlook appear on the users desktop (for those not aware of how hosted apps run, which is assume you probably all do know, but threw it in there!) The app is running via a VMWare RDS Server that when opened also requires Outlook to be running. We have a hosted application that was built in house by a department we took over. I have a question that I am thinking I am gonna get a no for, but here goes.
